While summer sports can start meeting together next week, it will be until at least July 1st until coaches and student athletes can work with each other face to face. Communication between coaches and players can already be difficult enough, but even tougher for a new coach.

For new West Central Valley football coach Jim Lindsay, obviously it would be ideal to meet with players in person. Right now he is doing what he can to stay in contact with his football team,

” That is a little more unique in our case new to the district and coming in, hopefully things can calm down and we can start meeting. If we can’t yeah will just take advantage of the technology and it’s probably the easiest time period to communicate and meet with your kids and not meet face to face than we ever had.”

Lindsay is doing everything that he can to meet with kids and parents as the first football Friday in the state of Iowa is slated for August 28th, so the sooner that Lindsay can start working with his team in person, the more likely the Wildcats can be on the same page once the season can start to get going.
