
Tuesday, June 2nd
5:35am: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Grimmell Road resulted in Faith Johnson of Sioux City being cited for, “Violation of Instruction Permit.”
7:26am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 800 Block of WestSouth Street.
12:40pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle near Elm and Gallop Road. The vehicle did not have a front registration plate and an expired Iowa Registration. The driver advised the officer there was marijuana in the vehicle and a “Probable Cause Search” was conducted. The officer removed smoking devices and a small amount of suspected marijuana from the vehicle for testing. Ashley Kuenster of Des Moines was cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Driving While Suspended.” Charges are pending the lab results on the seized items.
1:08pm: Maria Hernandez reported a bicycle lying nest to the road on 237th, just east of Jefferson. The officer did not locate the bike.
3:31pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Head Streets resulted in Nicole Keul of Waukee being cited for, “Dark Windows.”
3:32pm: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 200 East Clark Street.
4:19pm: Christina Johnson reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading east into Jefferson. The officer located the reported vehicle at a local business and spoke to the driver about the complaint.
6:34pm: Shelia Hebenstreit reported a tree limb had fallen into the street at 612 South Vine Street. The officer learned she and several neighbors had drug the limb to the curb. The City Public Works was advised so it could be picked up at a later time.
7:58pm: Morgan Hughes reported receiving Threatening Statements from an estranged boyfriend. The officer advised the male to end all contact with Hughes.
