
Friday, June 19th
2:13am: Skylar Johnson reported a tree branch on a powerline in the 300 Block of South Wilson Ave. The officer advised Alliant Energy of the issue.
11:16am: A Traffic Stop at 220th and American Ave. resulted in Tomylee Hudson Boswell of Perry being cited for, “Driving While Suspended and Excessive Speed.” Hudson had an active Arrest Warrant for, “Failure to Appear” out of Dallas County. The officer arrested him for the warrant, and he was taken to Dallas County.
1:14pm: A caller advised of a male and female involved in a Domestic Argument near Westwood and Rushridge Road. The officers were assisted by a Trooper and met with the couple. Evidence at the scene led to the arrest of Juan Angel Guzman, 33 of Jefferson for, “Domestic Abuse Assault/Impeding Air/Blood Flow – D Felony.” The GC Ambulance was called to the LEC to look at the female victim. The female was treated and released from the GCMC Emergency Room.
2:55pm: DHS advised of officer of starting a case on an elderly Jefferson man being financially exploited on-line by an unknown female.
4:44pm: Ryan Brown advised of a male Trespassing on his property at 702 West Mahlon Street. The officer contacted the male and advised him he was not welcome at the address.
4:50pm: A caller advised of a Careless Driver at Lincoln Way and Grimmell Road. The vehicle was squealing its tires. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
8:10pm: Connie Loeffler reported neighbors playing loud music at 1000 West Adams Street. The officer spoke to the neighbor an asked them to keep the music down.
8:23pm: Jan Olson reported a young neighbor boy urinating in her yard at 606 North Olive Street. The officer spoke to the mother of the youngster about the event.
Saturday, June 20th
1:58am: Officers located an Open Business Door at 121 North Chestnut Street.
4:21pm: A caller advised of a vehicle parked at the Wells Fargo ATM for an extended period of time. The officer checked on the female, who advised the ATM had taken her card and will not return it. The officer contacted a bank employee, who provided the female with a phone number to get a new card.
4:39pm: Nolan Wilson advised he locked his keys in his vehicle and his two dogs were inside the vehicle. Due to the temperature, the officer unlocked the vehicle for him.
8:04pm: Craig Berry reported the strong odor of natural gas near 307 South Chestnut Street. The officer contacted Alliant Energy.
8:20pm: Chuck Bartholow reported an injured pigeon near 305 East Park Street. The officer did not locate the bird.
9:24pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street.
10:27pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Ram Drive resulted in Kaydence Winger of Jefferson being cited for, “Violation of Conditions of Restricted License.”
10:50pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Lane.
Sunday, June 21st
12:40am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 300 Block of West Clark Street for, “Truck/RV/Trailer Parking Violation.”
1:43am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 200 Block of North Locust for, “Truck/RV/Trailer Parking Violation.”
5:28am: Connie Loeffler reported her neighbor was again playing loud music in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. The officers spoke to the neighbor again about the issue.
8:24am: The Wild Rose requested a Welfare Check of a subject slumped over in a vehicle in the parking lot. The officer had the GC Ambulance come to check out the driver before she went inside for breakfast.
10:02am: An officer performed an Escort through Jefferson for a group of motorcyclists riding on a Memorial Ride for Officer Justin Martin, who was killed in the line of duty in DSM. The annual ride is from DSM to Rockwell City, where Martin is buried.
2:17pm: An officer assisted GC Medical Center employees with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Washington Street.
5:12pm: Tanner Stauffer reported his fence had been backed into by a neighbor at 206 West Russell Street, causing $300.00 in damages. The officer assisted in gathering insurance information for an exchange between the parties.
5:46pm: Dawn Muhr reported a male driver had threatened her in the drive-thru at 300 North Elm Street. The officer did not locate the other party involved.
7:50pm: A Traffic Stop in the 100 Block of South Elm Street resulted in Joan Brooking of Stuart being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
9:24pm: Chad Schwander reported a neighbor playing Loud Music in the 100 Block of West Vest Street. The officers spoke to the neighbor and requested him to turn down the volume.
11:55pm: Thomas Dugan reported someone ringing his doorbell and looking in his windows in the 500 Block of West Harrison Street. The officers did not locate anyone in the area.
