Monday, June 22nd

12:28am: A Traffic Stop in the 1400 Block of 235th Street resulted in Zachary Smith of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Dim Headlights.”

2:45am: George Byerly reported water running out of the Jefferson Municipal Swimming Pool and running into the street in the 700 Block of South Maple Street. The officer contacted the  Park & Rec Department to shut the water off.

5:04am: Candice Agar requested a Welfare Check be done on a male in the 400 Block of North Pinet Street. The officer made contact with an intoxicated male, who requested the officer take him to ER for evaluation by a medical doctor.

5:00pm: Kathy Scheuermann spoke to an officer in connection to a Civil Property Issue occurring at 504 North Wilson Ave.

6:06pm: An officer worked with staff members at a Imagine the Possibilities Group Home at 503 East Monroe Street to work out a disagreement between two clients. The issues were handled internally, and the officer took no action.

6:18pm: An officer was requested at ER for a Dog Bite. The officer spoke to a female who advised a dog entered her fenced yard and began to fight with her animal. As she was separating the two animals, she inadvertently stuck her fingers in the dog’s mouth and received cuts to her finger. The officer spoke to the neighbor and learned the animal is visiting their residence while the owner is out of state at a funeral. The animal is current on vaccinations. The officer placed the animal in a 10 Day Quarantine at the residence. City animal ordinances do not treat this as a Dog Bite and do not apply.

11:29pm: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 614 South Olive Street.
