It was a wild baseball game in Adel on Monday night for the ADM Tigers, with the Panthers of Creston defeating the Tigers in extra innings by the score of 10-9. ADM would nearly bounce back for a big deficit, as the Tigers trailed 8-1 after a seven run fourth inning from Creston.
The ADM offense would chip away with three in the fourth, two in the fifth, and three in the seventh as well, nearly getting the victory before Creston tacked on a run in the top of the eighth inning to secure the victory. Errors were tough on the Tigers in the field, as they had six of them on the night, and will have to clean up that aspect of the game with playoff time just around the corner.
Offense was good on the night with eleven hits, with senior Chase Anderson hitting a home run to lead things off in the fifth inning, and five different players recording a multi hit game. Senior Zach Fuller threw three innings and was sharp only giving up a run and striking out seven in a shorten start to get warmed up for postseason time.
The Tigers will have one final regular season game tonight at Pella, with the first pitch to be at 7:30.
