Two people were injured in a three vehicle wreck in Dallas Center Thursday morning.

 

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck happened in the 28000 block of Highway 44 just before 6:30 a.m. A vehicle driven by Stanley Markey of Minburn was eastbound when he crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle driven by William Ice of Grimes. A third vehicle, driven by Nicholas Duckett of Adel, was behind Markey at the time of the collision and couldn’t avoid hitting Markey’s vehicle. Markey was taken to Mercy Main Downtown by Emergency Medical Services, Ice was transported by EMS to the Veterans Affair Hospital. Markey was cited for unlawful passing.
