The Dallas County Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday morning.

The Supervisors approved a new telecommuting agreement for County employees. With employees starting to return to their respective facilities due to COVID-19, the Supervisors felt it was important to form a new agreement for anyone who is still going to work from home in order to clarify expectations. The Supervisors then discussed the courthouse weapon policy statement. The details are confidential for security reasons. The Supervisors passed the following resolution 2-1 with Kim Chapman opposing.

The County Auditor then suggested a plan to the Supervisors to hold the upcoming election in the recently purchased County building at 818 Court Street in Adel. The facility was formerly a car dealership with open space that could safely accommodate 15 voting booths six-feet apart to maintain social distance. The Supervisors approved the resolution for temporary use of the facility between October 5th-November 2nd.

The final matter of business was a discussion regarding moving the flag that stands in front of the Courthouse. Chapman mentioned the trees in downtown Adel have made it more difficult to admire the flag. No action was taken.
