With the new school year starting up soon, Greene County School District families are reminded to register for the free and reduced breakfast, lunch, snack and milk programs through the federal and state governments.
The programs are intended for children whose families are unable to pay full price for meals provided through the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program and the Afterschool Care Snack Program. Households at or below the income guidelines that outlined below through a link to the document, and those currently enrolled in food assistance programs or receiving benefits from the Family Investment Program are the main ways to be eligible for the program.
Those previously enrolled in the free and reduced school program must reapply within 30 days of when the 2020-2021 school year begins. Click the link below for eligibility and verification to see if you qualify for the free and reduced meal program.
