Greene County Public Health is offering immunization clinics for school age kids.

The Back to School Immunization Clinics will be held every Wednesday now through August 19th from 5:30-7:30pm. These clinics will cover the required immunizations such as for two tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis vaccines, along with polio, chickenpox and measles for kindergarteners. Seventh graders are required to have a meningitis vaccination and are recommended to get a human papillomavirus vaccine. High school seniors must get a booster dose of meningitis and are recommended to get a meningitis B vaccine if they haven’t previously received one.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, appointments must be scheduled. You must enter the parking lot of Greene County Medical Center where a staff member will direct you where to go. Additionally, if a kindergartener needs lead and dental screenings, they are encouraged to schedule an appointment during regular public health hours from 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. Contact Greene County Public Health at 515-386-3228 to schedule an immunization appointment.
