Test Guthrie County will be holding another COVID-19 testing event this weekend.

The initiative in partnership with Guthrie County Public Health, Guthrie Family Medicine Center, and Guthrie County Hospital and Clinics will be holding PCR and serology testing from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday at the health services building located at 2002 State Street in Guthrie Center. PCR testing is a nasal swab which tells whether someone has the virus very early on, and a serology test is a blood test which confirms if an individual was previously infected and helps identify immunity. Test Guthrie County’s goal is to dramatically increase the rate of COVID-19 testing among county residents to help identify positive cases which can give officials the data they need to track the spread of the virus, contain it, help find a cure and save lives. The public is asked to call the Guthrie County COVID Hotline to determine which is the best testing option, and more information is included in the flyer above.
