Heavy graduation losses from the 2019 Greene County High School football team may have some thinking the Rams will have a rough 2020 season. Head Coach Caden Duncan isn’t among them. “It’s our job to get these guys ready to go. It’s our job to reload. We’re going to have a lot of guys step up into roles and be very successful this year that the public may not know about.”

The coach talked about perceived depth. “We, as a coaching staff, actually feel like we could have more depth this year than last year, believe it or not. We feel like we’ve got a lot of guys competing for spots, so competition breeds success there. We feel like even beyond the starters we have guys that will come in and contribute. I think the guys are eager to prove themselves, I think. Coaches are eager to prove ourselves, too. I think we’re going to be pretty solid and I think we’re going to surprise some people.”

The Rams are in the first official week of practice. Helmet, shoulder pads and shorts are the mandated practice gear until this Saturday, which is the first day of full pads.
