The City of Bagley is seeking to fill a vacant seat on their City Council.

The Council intends to fill the seat made vacant by Emily Chapman-Olesen by appointment. Those interested in serving are asked to give notice in writing to City Hall. The Council is scheduled to appoint a successor at their meeting on September 8th, and that successor would fill the vacancy until November 2, 2021. Residents also have the right to file a petition for a special election, and must be filed with City Clerk Pat Augustus within 14 days of the public notice publication or within 14 days after the vacancy is filled. The petition must be signed by a number equal to 15% of those who voted in the last regular election, and by no less than 10 signatures.
