The AC/GC girls cross country team was featured in the pre-season rankings.

The Chargers had a breakout season last year and will be looking at building upon that in 2020. AC/GC came in at the seventh spot in IowaRunJumpThrow.com’s Class 1A rankings. Last year the girls qualified as a team to the state championships and dominated the state qualifying race. At the state championship race, Kate Crawford finished in third place overall with a time of 19:05. Rylee Sloss and Kiersten Knobbe were the next two Chargers to finish coming in 14th and 30th respectively.

As a team, AC/GC finished higher than any Guthrie Center or Adair Casey team that came before them with their fifth place finish.
