West Central Valley football will begin district play tonight, when they head up to Carroll to take on Kuemper Catholic in a game that should be a challenging one for the Wildcats.
After picking up their first varsity win in nearly two years last week with a 26-24 win over Eagle Grove, the Wildcats will be looking for more tonight, though the opponent they will be facing will be tougher than last week. The victory was a thriller, with the Wildcats scoring with only 11 seconds left in the game to get the victory, and get a confidence boost that should hopefully carry with them through this tough district.
The Knights are 0-2 on the season and these two teams haven’t met since 2015, but it could be a fun game. The Wildcats will be looking to pick up right where they left off last week, win the turnover battle, and play loose knowing that they will be an underdog in tonights game.
Kick time from Carroll will be at 7 o’clock.
