Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center’s homecoming activities were modified this year due to COVID-19, with the coronation of the king and queen Friday night.

Instead of a typical pep rally held during the day, the king and queen candidates were escorted by their parents during halftime of the varsity football game against Woodward Granger. Queen candidates this year were Reese Coffman, Jorja Hoover, Rylee Sloss, Audrey Stowe, and Kylie Young. King candidates were Nash Ayers, Seth Danker, Gunnar Larsen, Lucas Marsh, and Clayton Wardyn. The 2019 king and queen Hayden Knutter and Reagan Rumelhart passed on their titles to Marsh and Sloss. Though there wasn’t a parade, pep rally, or dance for this year’s homecoming because of COVID-19, students did get to take part in dress up days, compete to raise the most funds to pie a high school teacher in the face, and host class competitions Friday afternoon. The kickball tournament that was scheduled to follow the football game has been postponed to a later date.
