Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community has a mini-grant available to help existing businesses purchase new products.
Economic Vitality Co-Chair Bonnie Silbaugh says businesses can apply for a business inventory mini-grant, a $500 matching grant that allows for new products to be purchased. Silbaugh points out the grant was created based on their Esri data, which shows what Jefferson is needing for retail and food items versus what it already has.
“To bring in an inventory of product, something that would help you grow your business and serve one of those needs of what we’re missing in town. Because we don’t want people to always have to go out of town right? We want to build our economy. And our kind of mission – and mine as a business owner – is look local first.”
Call the Thomas Jefferson Welcome Center at 515-386-2155 for more information or a copy of the application.
