The Jefferson City Council will meet Tuesday night.

The Council will consider for approval the third and final reading to amend an ordinance to increase water and sewer rates each by three-percent, along with an ordinance to increase the residential and commercial solid waste rates by one dollar per month and establishing commercial recycling fees. Additionally, the Council will consider approving an office space lease for Gravitate at 202 North State Street, a 28E agreement for temporary provision of law enforcement coverage with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, hiring a building and zoning official, along with first readings of ordinances to allow for off-road utility vehicles, providing a four-yard dumpster in lieu of the fall and spring clean-up weeks and a 35 mile per hour speed limit on Grimmell Road from Lincoln Way to U.S. Highway 30.

The Council will also hear an update from the cat committee and zoning review committee and conduct the 2022 fiscal year budget priority workshop.

The meeting begins at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
