The Raccoon Valley Radio studio remodeling project is nearing its next phase.
General Manager John McGee says the latest items checked off for the construction crews, including installing cabinets and the building’s flooring. Work continues this week on the HVAC system and data infrastructure. McGee adds that once the project’s remodeling portion is completed, they can start moving in and setting up new technology in the facility. McGee says it’s been a tough summer, but thanks the staff for their flexibility, “Anytime you do a major remodeling project in the middle of a pandemic and then throw in a major storm through at the same time, that certainly causes its share of challenges. But, in all honesty, I can’t thank our staff, the employees of the radio station, (enough) for their flexibility and their willingness to adapt to whatever we’re dealt with.”
The studio is on schedule to be fully operational by November 1st.
