Greene County had a non-conference high school volleyball triangular and Paton-Churdan played a Rolling Valley Activities Conference match on Tuesday.

The Rams met Panorama and South Central Calhoun in Rockwell City, where the home gym of the Titans is located. Greene County went 2-0 in matches and 4-0 in sets to break a seven match losing streak. The Rams are now 4-7 overall. Panorama entered the night 4-1 and SCC was 8-17 at the start.

The Rams won 25-22, 25-21 vs. the Panthers and 25-17, 25-23 against the Titans. Coach Chris Heisterkamp said, “For the majority of the night we had a good rhythm going. Even in the second set against SC Calhoun when we found ourselves down by several points, the girls did well to refocus, kept their composure, and came back for the win.”

For the four sets, senior Lily Muir had eight kills and 10 digs. She was also nine for nine serving vs. Panorama. Senior Brianna Osterson had four kills and 10 digs. Senior Eliza Carlson had 10 digs and was 12 for 13 serving against SCC. Sophomore Natalie Heupel went nine for nine serving vs. Panorama, and had 11 digs and four kills on the night. Sophomore Katrina Heupel was nine for nine serving vs. SCC. Junior Brianna Habben had four kills, one solo block and two assisted blocks.

P-C faced Glidden-Ralston in Glidden and Coach Tressa Rasmussen’s team fell in five to drop to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the conference. Scores were 25-23, 21-25, 13-25, 25-23, 9-15. G-R improved to 7-5, 3-0. Senior Danielle Hoyle entered the night as the conference leader in kills per set and she had another big night with 25 kills. The Rockets had 10 ace serves on the night and went 96 of 103 from the service line for 93.2% accuracy.
