A pair of road work projects are underway in Dallas County.

Crews have been working this week on a patching and repair project on 1st Street in Perry. The Iowa DOT has been working on the pavement around manholes throughout the City. This project is causing daytime lane closures throughout the day. Work is expected to be completed in October. 

Another project underway is replacement work on the east and westbound I-80 bridges over Sugar Creek, the South Raccoon River, and the North Raccoon River in Dallas County. Through traffic will be closed overnight. Day time traffic patterns will not be affected. Work is expected to last until November. The DOT wants to remind motorists to obey traffic laws and to follow posted signage.
