Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tiger Cross Country got some news on Wednesday that will have some changes for the Tigers when it comes to the state race.
The IHSAA and the IGHSAU made an announcement for both class 3A and 4A state cross country races, with their races on both the boys and girls sides being bumped up a day to Friday, October 30th instead of that following day. With the race being moved up a day, that also means that the state qualifying race will now be on October 21st, to make sure that runners have over a week of rest and preparation for the state race.
ADM will have some runners that are expected to be apart of the race including current boys state champion and number 2 runner in 3A in Nate Mueller and one of the top girls runners in 3A in Geneva Timmerman, who is currently ranked 4th.. The ADM boys team also has been really good so far this year, as they were ranked 10th in the most recent iowarunjumpthrow.com rankings.
Class 1A and 2A will run both of their races on the following day on Saturday, October 31st, and will also keep their original race day in state qualifiers on Thursday, October 22nd.
ADM Tigers cross country will have some very high aspirations this year, and hope to have some runners competing in that race in late October.
