
A Panora employer is one of 65 applicants to receive a Coronavirus Relief Fund Employer Innovation Fund Grant, announced by Governor Kim Reynolds Wednesday.
More than $4.3 million has been awarded to assist local employers, nonprofits, community colleges, high schools, private universities, and the University of Iowa provide postsecondary training and education to Iowans whose employment has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lakeside Village assisted-living facility in Panora was awarded $96,800 to provide training for current employees as well as new hires in ServSafe, CPR, CNA, Medication Manager, and Certified Medication Aide positions.
This grant program is part of Governor Reynolds’ Future Ready Iowa initiative, whose goal is to have 70-percent of Iowans in the workforce with education and training beyond high school by 2025, of which 60-percent currently meets this criteria.
