The Guthrie Center City Council approved an economic development program with Advanced Homes 360 at their meeting Monday.
The business is currently contracted to build two homes in the Cameron Flats development, and the agreement will give $200,000 from the Utility Board for each of the homes. The Council also approved a tree removal bid of about $6,100 for approximately 10 homes from Kautsky Tree Care, and upon research they will not remove the trees at 305 Grand Street as there is no danger to deem them removable. They also approved an approximate $7,100 quote for additional manhole work from Hydro-Klean, and approved for the Guthrie Center High School FCCLA group to install a “blessing box” near the Guthrie County Freedom Rock site which is on city property.
