Paton-Churdan defeated Ogden and lost to Glidden-Ralston in Ogden on Monday night in high school volleyball. These were best two of three matches to 25 points in sets one and two, and to 15 points in sets three. The Rockets won 25-23 and 25-17 vs. Ogden, lost lost 25-22, 23-25, 11-15, to G-R. The Rockets are 4-6 on the season.
Head coach Tressa Rasmussen said her team had phenomenal serving vs. Ogden. The match vs. G-R saw the Rockets with several chances in the second and third sets, according to the coach, but some missed serves and struggles receiving serves hurt P-C.
The Rockets missed just two serves vs. Ogden and nine vs. G-R. Danielle Hoyle had 13 kills on the night, 10 against G-R. Tessa Steimel had seven of her eight kills against the Wildcats.
P-C is home tonight in Churdan vs. Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton.
