
Friday, October 16th
9:09am: DHS contacted an officer with information on a possible Sexual Assault of a child, which reportedly occurred in Jefferson several years ago. The officer is assisting DHS with the investigation.
10:38am: An uptown business reported a vehicle parked in two parking spots in the 100 Block of East State Street. The officer issued a Parking Violation Notice for the violation of ordinance.
12:38pm: Pat McGinnis reported a Stray Dog pulling a cable near the 400 Block of South Olive Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.
2:56pm: An officer delivered a Death Notification to a Jefferson resident.
3:25pm: George Glasgow spoke with an officer about a Civil Issue occurring at 205 South Cedar Street.
4:32pm: An officer assisted subjects in gaining entry to a residence in the 1300 Block of Riverside, after the keys had been locked inside the residence.
8:24pm: The Greene County Medical Center reported someone burning near the 1000 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer located the resident burning leaves. No ordinances were being violated.
Saturday, October 17th
9:03am: Clint Robinson reported an injured deer in the 1000 Block of South Elm Street. The officer dispatched the deer.
12:02pm: Rich Smith reported an Open Door on a newly built residence at 6060 North Cedar Street. The officer located a worker inside winterizing the residence.
1:17pm: Junior Lopez wanted an officer to document Harassing Behavior from a known female as he shopped at 106 West Washington Street.
3:24pm: Jacob Knapp Jr. reported a Hit & Run Accident at 901 West Lincoln Way Street. He advised his 2012 Ford Mustang had been parked overnight at the location and received bumper damage. The officer estimated the damages at $300.00.
4:03pm: Gary Schiltz reported kids riding a small dirt bike in the alley of the 800 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer spoke to parents, who were supervising the event, and requested they stay out of the alley.
5:28pm: Megan Ball reported finding two juvenile females crying in the 300 Block of West Madison Street. Ball asked if they were okay and they advised they were running away from home. The officer spent some time with the youths speaking about home rules and the importance of them. A grandparent arrived and took the juveniles back home.
7:00pm: Janon Olson advised of a neighbor’s dog running loose on East McKinley Street. The officer did not locate the animal.
Sunday, October 18th
11:55am: Denny Lautner requested a Welfare Check on a male subject at 506 North Vine Street. The officer made contact with the male, who was fine.
9:36pm: Emily Hayes reported a subject walking on 220th Street, near Sparky’s One Stop. The officer located the male subject, who was walking to the Casino.
