Student-athletes throughout the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area will be competing at State this week.

Greene County punched their ticket to the round of 16 in the Class 2A state football playoffs. The Rams defeated Clarinda Friday night to extend their season. They’ll head to Monroe to play Prairie City Monroe. You’ll be able to listen to that game on 98.9 FM KGRA, online at RaccoonValleyRadio.com, and on the free KGRA mobile app.

Several teams and runners qualified for the State Cross Country Championship race in Fort Dodge. The Dallas Center-Grimes, Adel-DeSoto-Minburn, and Adair Casey-Guthrie Center boys team finished in the top-three of their qualifying meets and qualified as a team. DCG, Panorama, and the AC/GC girls team also qualified. Class 4A and 3A will run Friday, and Class 2A and 1A run Saturday.
