An Ankeny woman received a suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to attempted burglary.

According to court documents, 32-year-old Danielle Marguerita Miles of Ankeny received a two year suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to an attempted burglary, a serious misdemeanor. Miles was arrested in the 15000 block of H Avenue southwest of Perry on June 15th and charged with 3rd-degree burglary, a class D felony. Miles must serve two years of probation, was fined $625, and will have to pay another $193 in court costs.

In the same incident, 37-year-old Jeffery Michael Heater of Bagley was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools, both serious misdemeanors, on top of several other outstanding misdemeanor warrants of two charges of 3rd-degree burglary of an unoccupied vehicle, two charges of 3rd-degree theft, and one charge of operating a motor vehicle without owner consent.
