Adair County Health System released additional information on their second reported COVID-19 death.

Earlier this week Adair County had their second COVID-19 related death as positive cases continue to rise throughout the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area. According to Adair County Health System, the individual was between the age of 41-60-years-old. Overall, Adair County has 255 positive cases and a 19.2% 14-day positivity rate. According to the State Coronavirus Dashboard Friday, Guthrie County has 14 new positive cases since Thursday, increasing their total to 488 with 314 recoveries and 15 deaths.

According to the State Dashboard Friday, Dallas County has 94 new cases since Thursday increasing their total to 4,134, ninth-most in the State. There have been 3,036 recoveries and 51 deaths. Dallas County has an 11.1% 14-day positivity rate. Greene County added 16 new cases, increasing their total to 250, 149 recoveries, and zero deaths, according to the State Dashboard. Greene County’s 14-day positivity rate is 7.9%.

Statewide, there are a total of 145,071 cases, 3,000 more than Thursday, with 99,278 recoveries and 1,819 deaths. Of the 1,015,121 people that have been tested, 868,361 were negative, a 14.5% positivity rate.

Additionally, in Region 1 of the Regional Medical Coordination Centers Hospital Data – which includes all of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area – there are currently 233 hospitalized patients, 49 in Intensive Care Units, and 25 admitted in the last 24 hours.
