A state-funded grant program focused on beautifying communities is once again accepting applications.

The Paint Iowa Beautiful program is a partnership between Keep Iowa Beautiful and Diamond Vogel Paints. Qualified projects receive free paint to support beautifying community projects. Last year’s recipients from Greene County included the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department to repaint the shelterhouse at Russell Park and the City of Churdan received free paint for its City Hall and Post Office. 

Applications can be completed online and must be submitted by February 15th. In the 18 years of the program, over 11,165 gallons of paint has gone to 1,000 community projects in Iowa. Click the link below to access the online application.
