A Davenport man received a suspended prison sentence and probation stemming from an eluding incident that occurred in Dallas County.

According to court documents, 34-year-old Ryan Charles Greving of Davenport received a suspended prison sentence of seven years after pleading guilty to operating while under the influence second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, and eluding, a Class D felony. Grieving is to be placed on four years probation and is ordered to pay at least$8,067 in fines and court costs.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began at around 6:45 p.m. on May 12th when a Woodward Police Officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a tan Buick Le Sabre driven by Greving. He did not pull over and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle traveled west on Highway 141 and reached speeds of over 100 miles-per-hour. A Sheriff’s Deputy was able to deploy stop sticks in Perry, which successfully brought an end to the chase at 6:52 p.m. that evening.
