Following having a few days off over the Thanksgiving holiday break, Perry students return to class today.

Schools around the area have had to go online due to rising COVID-19 cases. While Perry, like all schools, have had cases arise, Superintendent Clark Wicks says he’s thankful to have been able to keep kids on site, “When we first started on August 19th, we were not too sure how far we were going to get into the school year. At that point we didn’t know if COVID numbers were going to jump right away. We didn’t know how safe everything was going to be for sure. We thought it would be, but we were going to make the accommodations as needed. So here’s what happened, we’re still going to school. We’re going to be going to school tomorrow and that’s what we want.”

Now the administration and School Board are working on a plan to bring all students back on-site following the holiday break in December.
