Everyone has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and Perry Lutheran Homes is no different.
Perry Lutheran Homes CEO Reverend Max Phillips says they are focused on protecting everyone including the residents and the employees, which has been difficult.
“And of course the folks that get exposed, especially employees, I mean they have to quarantine and do those things. So it makes it tougher on the workforce as well because some folks aren’t able to work, the rest of us pick up that load. So I can tell you it’s been stressful on residents, it’s been stressful on our staff. I’m just thankful to God for all of them, they’ve been very patient.” Phillips says.
Born out of a frustrating situation such as a global pandemic has come creativity. Phillips notes that they are trying to keep residents connected with those they love outside of the community. While the pandemic continues, Phillips can’t wait for the possibility of an open house again.
