The number two team in 4A in the state of Iowa was in Adel on Tuesday night in the Gilbert Tigers, and they were able to walk away a winner over the ADM Tigers by the score of 50-23.
ADM was able to hang tough through the majority of the night, but Gilbert’s high octane offense got key buckets along with getting key stops throughout the game were the difference, as well as getting excellent play out of their top players.
The first half was the difference, as Gilbert went on a 21-0 run during the end of the first and the entire second quarter to take a 31-4 lead into the locker room. ADM was lead in scoring by sophomore Nicole Storek and senior AJ Smith.
ADM moves to 2-3 on the season while Gilbert moves to 3-0.
ADM will have their third straight game against a top 10 ten in 4A girls basketball on Friday night, when they make the trip to Bondurant to take on the Bluejays.
