The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved an update to the City of Dexter Hazard Mitigation Plan at their meeting Tuesday.

The Board approved an update to the City of Dexter Hazard Mitigation Plan that will allow for the City to attempt to secure funding to replace an outside warning siren that is more than 50-years-old. The aging siren requires a button to be pushed at the Dexter Fire Department to activate it. It can potentially run the risk of no one being there to push the button. The hopes are to apply for funding to replace the siren which could cost around $30,000.

The Supervisors also heard a road update on projects that have been completed recently and possible future projects.
