The Greene County High School boys’ basketball team has been short-handed through the first three games of the season, all losses. According to head coach Chris Nelson, the Rams should have an additional starter back tomorrow when Greene County hits the road to State Center tomorrow night as part of a girl/boy doubleheader on KG98 and streamed on www.racoonvalleyradio.com. vs. West Marshall. They might be full strength on Saturday when they meet Grinnell in the first-ever Greene County girl/boy Classic in the new high school gym.

The Rams opened the season on Dec. 5 with a 58-50 home loss to Ogden and were down three starters and five total players. In both a 51-37 road loss at South Hamilton (Jewell) on Dec. 8 and a 63-51 home loss on Dec. 11 to PCM (Monroe), the team was missing two starters and four and five total players, respectively.

Junior Jackson Morton is expected to play vs. WM tomorrow night after recovering from a broken collar bone suffered in week nine of the football season. The coach is hoping the other missing Rams return by Saturday.
