West Central Valley Wildcats basketball had a boy/girl doubleheader Monday night against Paton Churdan, but unfortunately neither team could come away with the win, despite both being competitive.

The girls were able to compete hard in their game, sticking around for most of the night but came up just a little bit short, falling 64-43. Turnovers were a key aspect of the game, as Paton – Churdan was able to convert a few buckets off of Wildcat turnovers.

The boys on the other end just couldn’t keep up with a good Rockets team in the fourth quarter, as shots just weren’t falling at a clip that the Wildcats were hoping for, but did compete hard and were able to keep up with the Rockets throughout the game. The Wildcats fell by the score of 54-47.

The Wildcat teams will have a couple of days of practice upcoming, and then they will have a big road game on Thursday when they travel to Pleasantville.
