The Stuart Fremont and Perry Grand 3 movie theatres will host their final holiday movie weekend with The Polar Express.

Owner Eric Tiernan says the Tom Hanks-featured film is a great draw for the program.

“That was our best one last year, probably doubled our attendance on that movie. It’ll do well every year. There’s always a new crop of kids coming up who haven’t been to a theater, and this is a good one to take them to.”

He says the program will continue next year as well, but one of his focuses for the future is improving the theater experience for his audience.

“The challenge to us is to make the experience as much as it can be, but we keep trying different things and we’ll figure it out.”

Showtimes for The Polar Express are 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at both locations. Theater capacity is limited to 50-percent and masks are required when not seated watching the movie.
