Wednesday, December 23rd

10:19am: Kolton Showers captured two stray dogs in the 400 Block of North Cedar Street and requested to meet an officer at the Animal Holding Facility. The animal’s owner arrived at the facility and took possession of the dogs.

10:14am: Rebecca Chumley turned in an Iowa License Plate she had located at 300 North Elm Street. The officer returned the plate to a Jefferson resident.

2:45pm: Mike Coil reported his 2004 Dodge Ram Truck was parked overnight on the street in the 100 Block of East Vest Street. Another vehicle had hit the side of his truck, causing minor paint damage to the door. The officer estimated the damage to be $500.00. The other vehicle involved is unknown at this time.

7:10pm: A caller advised of a downed powerline on South Cedar Street. Officers checked the area, but did not locate any lines down.

9:36pm: A deputy requested an officer to check on a vehicle in the ditch near 1863 Neola. The officer located the occupied vehicle and assisted the driver in getting a ride home. The vehicle remained in the ditch with no damages.

******** An officer has requested an Arrest Warrant for a reported Theft of Alcohol from 106 West Washington Street on 12/20/2020. The requested warrant is for Keegan Wayne Williams, 24 of Jefferson for, “Theft 5th Degree – Simple.”
