Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball is off to a great start so far this season at 6-2, and one of the things that they have been able to do really well as been their ability to get some big plays defensively.

In the first game of the season in a loss against Ballard, DCG had given up 52 points. In the next five games, they were able to keep their opponents below 50 points, all of those games wins.

If the Fillies were able to hold a team to less than 50 points per game, they are currently 6-0 on the season, while 0-2 if a team has been able to score more than 50.

For DCG to continue to find success, they need to continue to get stops and slow down their opponents, something that they have done really well this season.
