December 18 to December 28 2020
December 18;
Received a report of a minor accident. Parked vehicle registered to lAC corporation of Des
Moines was parked in the 600 of Warford. Sometime overnight the vehicle was struck knocking
off the driver’s side mirror.
Officers responded to the 500 block of Grove on a report of theft. Under investigation.
December 19:
Officers responded to the 2100 bock of 3’d St., on a report of a theft of a trailer. Total
estimated loss $3000. Trailer was later located and returned to owner.
Arrest; Esau Vasquez Guevara, age 42, of Iowa City was taken into custody and charged with
providing false identification information.
December 21:
Accident:
Vehicle 1 Silver 2012 Ford Escape registered to and driven by Jolene Ann Welder, 1125 Herndon
Road, Bagley.
Vehicle 2 Red 2010 Ford Edge registered to and driven by Denise Teresa Koppenhaver, 1502
Otley, Perry.
Minor accident in the Hy-Vee parking lot as one vehicle was pulling in and the other was pulling
out of a parking space. Total estimated damages $2800.
Accident;
Vehicle 1 Gray 2008 Subaru registered to and driven by Maria Elena Mata, 710 1810 St., Perry.
Vehicle 2 Red 2007 Lexus registered to and driven by Jeremy Tavarez Ciriaco, 2516 Perry Park,
Perry.
Both vehicles were backing out of parking spaces and struck each other. Total estimated
damages $900.
Arrest: Nicole Lee Tonche;Rios, age 37, 2110 4th St., Perry was taken Into custody and charged
with theft 5th degree and possession of a controlled substance.
December 22:
Accident:
Vehicle 1 silver 2017 Dodge Caravan registered to and driven by Mary Ellen Murphy, 2519 Perry
Park, Perry. Advised driver pulled into a parking spot too far and pushed over a sign. Total
estimated loss $400.

investigation.
Accident:
Vehicle 12000 Buick Park Ave registered to and driven by Tamara Suzanne Whitfield, 1313 W
2″0 St., Perry.
Vehicle 2 legally parked 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix registered to Tammy lynn Hoffman, 1401 Gth
St., Perry.
Vehicle 1 was backing out of a parking space and backed into vehicle 2. Minor damage to both
vehicles. Total estimated loss $600.
December 24:
Accident:
Vehicle 1- black 2007 Mitsubishi registered to and driven by Tammy Kay Peel, 703 4th St.,
Perry.
Vehicle 2 -legally parked gray 2013 Volkswagen registered to Alexis Katherine Johnson 615
Washington, Madrid.
Vehicle 1 was backing out of a drive and struck vehicle 2 that was legally parked in the street.
Total estimated damages $1150.
December 25:
Arrest: Patrick Dwayne Moore, age 34, 1415 Otley, Perry, was taken into custody and charged
with criminal mischief sth degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrest: Emanuel Ernesto Cruz-Hernandez, 28011’1 Ave., Perry was taken into custody and
charged with interference with official acts and public intoxication.
