Bayard’s EmmaKay McClain was one of 31 United States Service Academy nominees for the state of Iowa.

United States Senator Joni Ernst says each and every one of the nominees has demonstrated tremendous skill and commitment to establishing a career in the military.

McClain is one of 10 nominees to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the 2025 class.

Applicants to the program must excel in academics and extracurricular activities, demonstrate leadership traits and meet physical fitness and medical standards as outlined by the U.S. service academies.
