Jesse Miller
Greene County high school sophomore boys’ basketball player Jesse Miller has remained optimistic about what may lie ahead for the Rams this season despite an 0-5 start. Injuries and illness have kept head coach Chris Nelson from starting what he figures to be his best lineup in any game so far. Miller has played just once and scored three points. Listed at 6′ 4″, he is the only real height the Rams have.
Miller told Raccoon Valley Radio, “Now that we have everyone back we’re hoping to make a run. Coach says constantly in practice that we’re a good team and we all believe it. We have a lot of weapons and diversity even though we are shorter. But I think once we get back into the rhythm, we’ll be a really good team.”
The Rams are scheduled to open the Jan. portion of the schedule at home in the new high school gym in Jefferson on Jan. 5 vs. Webster City. It’s a girl/boy doubleheader that can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
