Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tiger basketball has been through some challenging stretches during the 2020-21 basketball season, and one of the things that they have seen improvement in the last week has been on the defensive side of the basketball.
On Tuesday night in their victory over Gilbert, the Tigers only gave up 41 points on the night, which was the second lowest output of the season for Gilbert, and third lowest points given up on the season for ADM, only holding Carlisle and Perry to lower point totals. Despite the loss on Monday night to Ballard, the Tigers were able to hold them 65 points, which is about 10 points lower than their season average.
In the games before, ADM gave up 74 to Carroll and 70 to Winterset, and knew that defensive improvement was a must if they were looking for more wins. The key for the Tigers defensively is continuing to lock in for 32 minutes, and not have any lulls throughout the game.
The Tigers will be looking for more big stops and timely offense tomorrow when they host Bondurant-Farrar at home. You can listen to the game on the home of Tiger basketball True Country K1079.
