
Friday, January 22nd
1:54am: While conducting Business Door Checks, an officer located an Open Door at 610 North Elm Street. The officer secured the business.
11:11am: American Home Shield requested assistance from an officer in contacting their employee’s parents, who live in Jefferson to conduct a Welfare Check on the subject. He had not arrived at work. The officer made contact with the mother and advised her of the situation.
12:30pm: Stephanie Wiskus reported a Phone Scam Call. She was advised her identity had been compromised and instructed to go to Dollar General and purchase a Pre-paid Card. She realized it was a scam and did not follow the instructions. She did not incur a loss.
4:45pm: An officer checked the ATM at 200 West State after an Alarm Activation from the machine. The officer found the ATM to be secure and fine.
5:20pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the 1200 Block of Rushridge Road. A 2017 Ford F250, owned and operated by Gary Harrison of Jefferson, was backing from a private driveway and backed into a parked car. The 2010 Nissan Rouge was owned by Julia Follet of Jefferson. Damage to each vehicle was under $300.00.
5:26pm: Nellie Petterson requested an officer at 107 North Olive Street. She reported items had been moved since she was last present in the home several days ago. The officer could find no evidence of someone gaining entry into the residence.
Saturday, January 23rd
2:10am: An officer assisted a deputy with a Single Vehicle Accident on 235 th Street, west of S Ave. The officer handled all charges in the matter.
11:34am: An officer was requested at 300 American Ave. for a Suspicious Vehicle in the parking lot. The officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle, who was a delivery driver attempting to drop off items at the business.
5:30pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of South Oak Street.
6:34pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 1000 West Washington Street #44. The officer could not make contact with anyone at the apartment.
10:34pm: Regency Park advised of vehicles doing donuts in the parking lot at 100 Ram Drive. The officer stopped a young driver and issued him a Written Warning for, “Careless Driving.”
11:47pm: An officer located an Open Storage Unit at 1503 North Elm Street. The officer secured the door.
Sunday, January 24th
9:59am: Paula Upton spoke with an officer about how a Court Committal works.
2:26pm: Jon Bushman requested an officer at 304 South Elm Street, while his daughter moves belongings from the residence. He did not want issues with her boyfriend. The officer stood by while the belongings were gathered without incident.
10:59pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle at Lincoln Way and Grimmell. During the stop, the officer learned the couple in the vehicle had an Active No Contact Order out of Boone County. The officer arrested Sheldon Gene Boswell, 24 of Perry and Shera DeaAnderson, 27 of Jefferson for, “Violation of No Contact Order – Simple.” Boswell was also cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”
