The Guthrie County Department of Public Health is still accepting signups for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Public Health Director Jotham Arber says people who qualify for the vaccine, whether in Phase 1A or 1B, should sign up at healthyguthrie.org under Immunize Guthrie.

“All of the people who have already signed up, called our office or gone on the website to sign up, those names we’ll start calling those individuals as we have vaccine clinics available for their group. We would highly encourage people to go ahead, get signed up, get us your name at least, so we know how many people are in this 1A, 1B category we need to get a hold of. Eventually, you’ll be able to go on there and pick a location when we open up to a larger swath of the population.”

Arber says Phase 1B includes individuals 65 and older, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade teachers, food and agricultural workers, first responders such as police, fire, emergency medical and social workers; health inspectors and more.
