Road crews are out clearing the roads for motorists after the latest round of winter weather. 

Dallas County Engineer Al Miller says the paved routes currently look good but that gravel roads will take all day today and tomorrow to get through. Miller adds that crews were out at 5 a.m. this morning and gravel will be the main focus tomorrow. 

Perry Public Works Director Josh Weubker says crews were out at 2 a.m. this morning going through the downtown area and clearing roads multiple times. Weubker says crews will be out at 2 a.m. again tomorrow morning to run their routes again. 

Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard reports that there were four accidents and 20 motorist assists due to the weather. Also, Dallas County is still under tow services not recommended according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
