The Panora Chamber of Commerce set its Be Local event for February 12 at Monday’s regular meeting.
The First Annual Panora Chamber Chocolate Walk will allow participants to enjoy treats at several local businesses and stamp their “Golden Ticket” for a chance to win $50 in Panora Chamber Bucks. Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased from the Guthrie County Vedette Times Office.
In other business, Chamber President Joel Ambrose resigned from the position and Marla Hammer was elevated as the new president. Kristen Rumelhart was selected as the new vice president.
The Chamber also discussed initial ideas for this year’s Panorama Days, a grant for renovating a vacant building, the Alzheimer Walk in August and pricing for city wayfinding signs to direct people downtown.
