Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls basketball will be returning to the court for the second time in three days when they get back on the road and take on Grinnell. Both the Mustangs and Fillies were able to get some nice road wins on Tuesday against Norwalk, and hope that they can build off of those performances.

The girls are in a midst of a 10 game winning streak which has helped them propel up the state rankings, as they hope to continue their groove especially with district play beginning next week. The boys found out about their district fate on Wednesday, as they will be the top seed in Class 3A Substate 8 action. They will be playing Perry in the first round on Monday, February 22nd at Meadows Gym, and will also host a semifinal game as well should they advance. The Substate championship will be Monday, March 1st with the temporary location to be at Atlantic High School.

Both DCG teams will be looking to get turnovers aplenty throughout both games, shoot the basketball at a high rate, and get good minutes not just out of their starters, but hopefully their bench as well.

Tip time for the girls will be at 6:15 with the boys game to follow, as both teams hope to get their second win in three days and keep taking care of business on the road.
