Only one meet stands in the way for four different ADM Tiger wrestlers with the hope of making a trip to state, as ADM host districts Saturday in Adel. For Jake Alexander at 106, Ben Smith at 132, Kadin O’Connor at 138, and Gage Davis at 152. They hope to put on a great showing in front of their home fans, and hope to put up good enough performances to move to the state tournament in Des Moines.
Wrestlers throughout the state will be participating in the tournament, and there should be some tough challenges for each of the wrestlers. At 106, Alexander stands at 21-8 and will take on Remington Fry of Prairie City-Monroe who’s at 22-11. At 132, Smith at 31-7 will take on Luke Spaur of Knoxville at 23-4. At 138, O’Connor at 11-16 will take on Gage Long of Ballard, who is currently 35-7. At 152, Davis at 9-7 will take on Chance Bockenstedt of North Polk, who is currently 30-2 on the season.
The 2A District 1 wrestling tournament will be beginning at 12 o’clock from Adel, as those four wrestlers look for good success on the day.
