Panorama School Superintendent Shawn Holloway discussed the upcoming ballot vote March 2 for the continued Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL) with the School Board during their regular meeting Monday night.

Holloway assured the Board the levy that’s been in place ten years would not cause an increase for taxpayers, just no change to the current circumstances.

“What we want our votes to understand is that this is not a new levy. It’s a continuation of a levy that’s been in place for at least the last 10 years. What PPEL really is and the easiest way for people to wrap their heads around the PPEL is any item that you can see or touch on or around our property have more than likely been purchased with PPEL funds.”

In addition, the Board reviewed the Master Calendar for the 2021-22 school year, certified and non-certified staff handbook changes and continued early dismissals on Wednesday for the remainder of the school year.

The Board also approved an overnight trip for the state FFA convention as well as the senior class trip. They also voted to continue mask mandates through the next regular board meeting in March.
